Bringing together artists from China and the UK, Beijing Nuren demonstrates the principle of collaboration in a variety of ways, integrating highly personalised perceptions of the everyday life of Beijing's urban city dwellers.

The exhibition has emerged out of an ongoing dialogue between its participants, all of whom are actively involved in exploring the relationship between creativity, knowledge and culture. It is hoped that the exhibition will stimulate reflection on the relationship between the two countries, and on the how the interplay of ideas and images shapes individual identities in an increasingly interconnected world.
