Xue Song is an unusual artist. All of his works are born out of flames.

Taking original copies of beautifully colored paper and various types of paper materials and printed matter Xue Song transforms them through burning into bits of irregularly shaped fragments.

In this exhibition Xue Song presents a new series of works where the content share a clever inherent echoing. A majority uses the Three Feathers series by the famous Chinese cartoon master Zhang Yueping whereas another section has an intimate relationship with modern Chinese history. In his works Xue Song draws on direct and easily recognized images to reveal those emotions that visibly move people.

This strong style exhibition not only reveals Xue SongĄŻs devoted thinking, also reflects distinctive thought of Chen Ling Hui Contemporary Space.
